On-Prem, Scalable Distributed Video Analytics

As video analytics become a critical component of business intelligence, security, and planning operations, organizations are increasingly faced with a key challenge: how to scale their video analytics efficiently while maintaining full control over sensitive data.

The scaling of video analytics is addressed by intuVision's distributed system architecture, which allows quick expansion to hundreds of camera streams, across multiple locations. intuVision VA is built to support growth of what may begin as a small system of a few cameras into hundreds of cameras over multiple sites, controlled and managed via a central location, allowing seamless scale-up through its distributed processing capability.

In a distributed deployment, analytics running across multiple servers are managed as a single unified system through the central intuVision Admin application. All detections and counts from servers, as well as cameras running intuVision Edge, are monitored and reported through intuVision Review application. By processing video locally and sending only metadata and events to the control center, this architecture reduces bandwidth usage while maintaining full access to all locations.

The server-side intuVision VA and camera embedded intuVision Edge address the video and data security concern by delivering powerful video analytics solutions with fully on-premise solutions – no cloud component. Whether deployed at the edge, on servers, in a combination hybrid architecture with in camera and server-side analytics, or with recorded video analysis, intuVision eliminates reliance on the cloud, while providing complete data ownership and enhanced security.

Complementing intuVision VA, intuVision Edge delivers real-time analytics directly embedded in AXIS smart cameras, fitting into the scalable video analytics architecture at the point of video collection, and eliminating the need for additional hardware. intuVision Edge includes a wide range of analytics - from person and vehicle counts to intrusion or left object detection, and more.

When combined, intuVision VA and Edge create a powerful hybrid solution to balance deployment flexibility, performance, and efficiency. intuVision VA provides highest accuracy, customization to use cases and broad camera compatibility, while intuVision Edge brings quick deployments and efficient analytics for common use cases.
